Client Testimonials

“Very professional, Very compassionate, Very helpful." Judith M., Wakefield, January 2018

"My P.T. was superb, careful, thorough, and I believe patient!" George C., Portsmouth, January 2018

"I've had your agency at least 4 times since 2006. Always pleased with the nurses and therapists. All were very smart, very personable, polite and friendly. I don't know about other agencies, but I sure hope they would follow in your footsteps." Carol A., Warwick, January 2018

The first step in finding the right company is doing your research. Start with the Department of Health to see which agencies are licensed and if there have been any complaints. Call the agencies that you’re interested in and ask for information. The way a company answers the phone and provides information is a good indication of how your loved one will be treated as a client.

Rehabilitation is frequently required after surgery — and often you are entitled to at-home rehabilitation that is covered by your insurance. Hospitals that have their own Home Care Agency assume you will use their providers. Remember that you always have a choice in service providers, so do your research and choose the company you are most comfortable with.

Most Medicare products cover the services of a Nursing Aide, ususally 2-3 times per week based on your condition. If you need further services, depending on the agency you choose, you can purchase additional time.

If this is something you think you may need, make sure the agency you choose has the capability to provide these services. A full service agency is often best because they can meet and coordinate all of your health care needs, from meals and transportation, to bathing and therapy.

Our reimbursement specialists help you determine your insurance eligibility, whether it be Medicare, Medicaid, private insurance or private pay. Call us today and we can help you sort this out.

We believe a client's care can extend beyond the patient and many times is a family decision. Saint Elizabeth Home Care is the closest thing to having trained caregivers as members of your family. We help relieve the stress typically placed on family members. At SEC we conduct family meetings to discuss specific needs, can provide counseling for both the client and the family, assist with networking to other agencies and help with long-term planning.

There are new healthcare approaches and advances constantly being developed. It’s our job to be aware of them and implement them, when appropriate, into our clients’ treatments.

As an example, our employees participate in skill development programs, and Saint Elizabeth Home Care is the only home care agency certified in the Alzheimer Whisperer method in Rhode Island. This program offers a gentile and unique approach to the care of those with dementia. We see the benefits of that certification, as well as our ongoing education program, we are continually striving to improve the skills of our caregivers.

Whether it’s our private nursing services, physical, occupational or speech rehabilitation, or help with non-medical tasks such as groceries or meal preparation — client service is part of our job description. We’re quick to respond and are as helpful as possible. We do what we say we’re going to do when we say we’re going to do it. Our clients appreciate it. And we know a client who feels good about how they’re being treated feels better overall.
